Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at approximately 4am Deputy Larry Moore responded to a call about a car sitting on the shoulder of Highway 64 near the Piney Bay Access with just it's park lights on. When Deputy Moore arrived in the area he was unable to locate the car. While continuing to check the area Deputy Moore observed a white car drive by him on Highway 64 with their emergency flashers on and the trunk open. Deputy Moore made a traffic stop on the car that had Tennessee tags on it. Deputy Moore approached the car and advised the female driving the reason for the stop and notice the lady seemed confused. The lady advised Officer Moore she was lost. Deputy Moore then went back to his car and ran the lady thru the National Crime Information Center. The 82 year old white female came back as missing out of Tennessee. She was brought to the detention center where staff sit with her out in the front lobby till family members could arrive in Clarksville to pick her and the car up. I want to thank the person that made the call to the Sheriff Office. With your help the family now has their family member back with them.
