Gary McCain, age 62 of the Fernwood community was arrested on Thursday, August 29 after detectives discovered 5 marijuana plants growing inside of his residence on County Road 2305.

Detectives went to the residence based on a tip and McCain acknowledged having the plants in his residence.

McCain was transported to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office where he was issued a citation to appear in court on September 16.

The investigation is continuing.
