A 71-year old Hagarville resident was found dead in her home at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 30 by neighbors who had gone to the residence because they could not reach her by phone.
Julie Richardson, the victim, was pronounced dead at the scene by Ricky Harp, Johnson County Deputy Coroner.
Detectives and Deputies secured the scene and collected evidence for most of the afternoon.
Her body has been taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.
Detectives continue to interview family and neighbors and evidence will be sent to the crime laboratory for testing and analysis.
Law enforcement considers this an isolated incident and there is no danger to the Hagarville community.
