Two Clarksville residents, Anita Pelts, age 50 and Mark Steven Pelts, age 49 were arrested on Friday, September 9, 2011 on warrants charging them with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
Both were arrested at their residence on Skaggs Road by D.T.F. agents, Sheriff’s Office personnel and Clarksville Police personnel.
While making the arrest, drug paraphernalia and drugs were found in the residence.
Approximately 27 adult dogs and 9 puppies were removed from the residence by animal control because of squalid conditions and the poor shape the dogs were in. The dogs were taken to Needy Paws Animal Shelter.
Both Anita and Mark Pelts are charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance (2 counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felony Animal Cruelty charges.
