Prescription Drug Takeback Program Nets 106 Pounds of Prescription Meds
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office collected 106 pounds of prescription medications during the Prescription Drug Take Back program held on Saturday, April 30. Deputies collected the unused and unwanted medications in front of the Johnson County Courthouse from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone who brought the medications by for disposal. If you have unused or unwanted medications you may drop them off at the Sheriff's Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. M-F and we will dispose of them.
The collected medications were turned over to the D.E.A. on Monday, May 2.
