Ricky Mayfield

A 51 year-old resident was arrested after the execution of a search warrant at his residence off of Hwy 352 west on Friday, May 29.  Deputies went to the Ricky Mayfield residence on PR 3257 regarding a tip that Mr. Mayfield was growing marijuana.  Upon arrival, deputies discovered two marijuana plants growing outside his residence and a third in a field.  The residence was secured and a search warrant was approved. A search of his residence revealed syringes, scales, and suspected methamphetamine as well as a .270 rifle.  Mayfield was charged with Manufacturing a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons.  Mayfield went before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on Friday, May 29 where his bond was set at $25,000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of July 10.
