2 persons were arrested by Deputy Jacob Shook on Monday, September 21 following an altercation at a residence on Jenkins Ferry Loop near Knoxville. Paul Speakman, Jr, age 22 and Darinda Brown, age 25 were arrested after they reportedly arrived at Brown's mother's residence, where Brown barged inside and Speakman waved a gun around outside. Brown reportedly attacked her mother and sister inside the residence and Speakman reportedly entered the residence and assaulted a 16 year-old female in the home. Speakman is charged with Terroristic Threatening 1st Degree, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, Residential Burglary, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor and Battery 3rd Degree. Brown is charged with Battery 2nd Degree, Battery 3rd Degree and Residential Burglary. Both Speakman and Brown appeared before District Judge Len Bradley on September 23 where their bond was set at $2500.00 each cash/commercial. Both have an initial court date of November 6 in Johnson County Circuit Court.
