Stoney D. Worthey, age 25 of Ozark was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Friday, March 20 at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Highway 64 in Coal Hill. Deputy Todd Russell stopped a vehicle driven by Worthey for a traffic violation. Worthey showed to have a suspended drivers' license and his passenger, Jessica Fisher, age 21 of Ozark had an outstanding warrant from Franklin County. Several pills were discovered on Worthey and in his vehicle, including morphine, vicodin, 4 unidentified pills and a syringe. Worthey had no prescription for any of the pills. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving on a Revoked/Suspended License and Operating Defective Equipment. Worthey appeared before District Judge Len Bradley on Monday, March 23. His bond was set at $5000.00 cash/commercial. Russell was assisted on the stop by officers from the Coal Hill Police Department.
