The Prescription Drug Take-Back that was held on Saturday, April 28 at the Johnson County Courthouse netted 46.8 pounds of prescription medications.
The event began at 10:00 a.m. and ended at 2:00 p.m.
The 46.8 pounds that were collected will be added to the 99 + pounds that have been collected in the drop-box at the Sheriff's Office since the last take-back in October, 2011.
The total of 146 pounds of prescription medications will be taken to the Arkansas State Police Troop J headquarters in Clarksville on May 8 and turned over to the Arkansas National Guard and D.E.A. for disposal.
The next take-back will be held in October.
