Johnson County residents are reporting receiving calls from a representative of the Arkansas Sheriff's Association asking for donations to purchase vests for the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. This is not a legitimate enterprise and most likely is a scam. The Arkansas Sheriff's Association does not call anyone asking for donations for local Sheriff's Offices. Anyone receiving these calls needs to call the Sheriff's Office and report the calls. Again, this is a scam, please do not give money or give the caller any information regarding you or any account you may have.
