Johnson County Sheriff deputies responded to Johnson Regional Medical Center at approximately 3:30pm on July 4th in reference to a stabbing that had occurred near Lamar.  A white male 19 years of age from Johnson County had been stabbed in the stomach during an altercation.

A 19 year old white male suspect from Johnson County has been interviewed along with several witnesses. The  investigation is ongoing therefore the name of the victim and suspect will be withheld at this time.
