Resident Arrested on Drug/Traffic Charges
Latonya Sagy

 

A Knoxville resident, Latonya Sagy, age 27 was arrested by Deputy Lance Clubb on Saturday, September 19 following a traffic stop on Highway 64 near Piney.  Sagy initially identified herself to Deputy Clubb as Juana Sagy, her sister.  Deputy Clubb noticed Sagy's appearance and demeanor and noticed what appeared to him to be marijuana in a cigarette box near the driver's seat.  Clubb then placed Sagy under arrest and began an inventory of her vehicle.  Suspected Xanax was found in the vehicle along with rolling papers.  While en-route to the detention center, Sagy became unresponsive in the back of the patrol unit and had to be taken to Johnson Regional Medical Center for evaluation.  Sagy was charged with No Drivers License, Driving on the Shoulder, Defective Equipment, DWI(drugs), Possession of Prescription Drugs w/o a Prescription, Careless/Prohibited Driving, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of an Instrument of Crime and was charged with Criminal Impersonation when her true identity was discovered.  She was also arrested on an outstanding Body Attachment.  A white warrant (parole hold) was placed on her after her arrest by Probation and Parole.  She went before District Judge Len Bradley on September 21 where her bond was set at $25,000.00 cash/commercial with an initial court date of November 6.
