Robert Vern Ellison

Robert Vern Ellison, age 24 of the Marlowville community west of Clarksville was arrested on assault and drug charges following an incident which ocurred at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27.  Ellison reportedly went to a neighboring residence with a metal pipe to continue an altercation with a female at a residence which had happened earlier in the day.  Ellison reportedly was swinging the pipe in the yard when the female and her father went outside.  Ellison then threw down the pipe and began choking the female from behind.  The female then stabbed Ellison twice with a knife.  Ellison ran from the residence and was taken to the E.R. by a family member.  Upon arrival at the scene, deputies followed the blood trail which led them to Ellison's residence.  They discovered 3 marijuana plants growing in pots behind the residence.  Ellison was arrested after being treated at Johnson Regional Medical Center.  Ellison was taken before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on Monday, June 29.  Ellison is charged with Aggravated Assault, Manufacturing a Controlled Substance and Criminal Trespass. His bond was set at $25,000 cash/commercial with a court date of July 10.
