Deputy Catches Suspect Breaking Into Storage Unit After Citizen's Tip

    Johnson County Sheriff's Auxiliary Deputy Justin Castleman interuppted a theft from a storage unit after a citizen called to report suspicious activity at a storage unit on Highway 21.  After the call was made, Deputy Castleman went to the storage units where he discovered a small 4-door car with a male subject removing items from the unit. 

    After making contact with the owner of the storage unit, it was determined that the owner did not know any of the occupants of the car.  All were taken to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office where the two adult females were released after being interviewed.  The male subject, Keith Laudermilk, age 40 of Coal Hill was arrested after being interviewed.  Laudermilk is charged with Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property and Criminal Trespass with charges of Forgery pending. 

    Laudermilk appeared before Circuit Judge Bill Pearson on Tuesday, February 14 where his bond was set at $5000.00 cash/commercial with a March 4 court date in Johnson County Circuit Court.
