Parts of Johnson County suffered major damage from a storm system which moved through on Friday afternoon.  Damage was reported in Clarksville, Lamar, Knoxville, Flat Rock, Piney, Hunt, Woodland and other outlying areas of the county.  Several homes, vehicles and outbuildings had trees and/or limbs blown onto them and several dozen trees and power lines were down.  The major damage ocurred in the East Hill area of Clarksville where several businesses lost their roofs, power lines were knocked down and electricity was lost in a large part of the city.  Street lights were out during rush hour and businesses had to close early.  Power was out in many places in the county. The storm track primarily followed just north and south of Highway 64 through Johnson County.
