Administration
|
The Sheriff’s Office Administration includes the Chief Deputy, Chief Deputy Clerk and Deputy Clerk. They manage the ‘business’ side of the Sheriff’s Office.
Chief Deputy Jerry Dorney has been in law enforcement and a certified officer for 23 years. Jerry has a degree in Business Administration from College of the Ozarks now known as the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville. In addition Jerry holds a Senior Certificate in Law Enforcement from the State of Arkansas.
Jerry is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office, which includes but is not limited to; personnel issues, scheduling, vehicle maintenance, vehicle equipment installation, equipment purchasing, accounts payable and payroll. He directs communications every day with the prosecutor’s office, circuit and district courts, courthouse officials and all other emergency service providers in the county. He works closely with the Sheriff in maintaining a safe community for you and your family
Karen Nordin has been employed with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office since 1991. Currently she is serving as Chief Deputy Clerk.
Karen is responsible for clerical and record keeping of monies taken in to the Sheriff's Office. She makes monthly settlements with the courts and the County Treasurer for all monies received. She enters tickets for the Sheriff’s Office, Game and Fish, Highway Police and State Police. She assists the District Court in preparing the docket and partial payment ledgers. Karen also keeps record of summons, eviction notices and Writs. Along with all of her day-to-day responsibilities she assists the public in the office and by phone.
Shannon Lemly has been employed with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office since 2007. Currently she is serving as Deputy Clerk.
Shannon’s primary responsibility is preparing, entering, and maintaining all Incident/Arrest Reports that are submitted by the deputies. She also participates in the preparation of monthly reports and with compiling comparative and statistical data for the Sheriff and ACIC. Along with these duties she is responsible for receipting money paid for fines, entering tickets for the Sheriff’s Office, Game and Fish, Highway Police and State Police. She assists the deputies in taking reports and serving outstanding warrants. Another important duty is assisting with keeping accurate records of registered sex offenders residing in Johnson County. In addition she assists the Sheriff and Chief Deputy in day-to-day operations of the office. She serves as receptionist and aids the public in the office and by phone.
